Release some stress and get your fill of fluff at a playful puppy yoga event next week.

Since the summer, Spay-Neuter-Inject-Protect San Antonio (SNIPSA) and Mobile Om have partnered to host "Yoga Poses and Puppy Noses."

Mobile Om yoga instructor Cassandra Fauss said the class will incorporate interactive poses with the adoptable puppies provided by SNIPSA, a local non-profit organization.

The next session will be held indoors at Love Shack Boutique (1580 Babcock Road) from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11.

According to Fauss, most students leave her session feeling joyful and happy as the puppies help bring a sense of "innocence" and "softness."

"The world is hard enough as it is, and this is just a reminder to not take yourself so seriously and just smile," Fauss said. "Plus, it's puppies and they are so adorable."

Students who participate will have a chance to adopt the furry ones before and after at the event, which has happened several times in past sessions, Fauss said.

Tickets cost $20 (proceeds benefit SNIPSA) and can be purchased at eventbrite.com. Fauss said the session tends to fill up quickly.

Participants are asked to wear comfortable workout clothes and bring a yoga mat. Mobile Om has a few available if needed.
